Located just 1.5 miles off the enchanting Sant’Agostino, this spectacular shoal offers an immersive underwater experience. With its range in depth from 38 meters to 24 meters, the shoal becomes a thriving habitat for a myriad of marine life, including vibrant red coral, paramuricee, and an array of fascinating inhabitants.

Prepare to be mesmerized by the diverse marine ecosystem that awaits you. Encounter captivating creatures such as lobsters, shrimps, conger eels, moray eels, octopuses, barracudas, sea bream, groupers, nudibranchs, and even the rare astrospartus and shark's eggs.

Situated six miles north of Riva di Traiano, off the coast of Sant'Agostino, this popular dive spot boasts a remarkable richness in both seabed diversity and marine life. It is recommended for advanced and expert divers due to the potentially strong currents. To ensure a safe descent, utilize a current line. As you reach the bottom, choose your path and follow the awe-inspiring vertical wall to the left or right, depending on your starting position.

The highlight of this dive lies within the two corners leading to the ocean floor and the entire south side of the wall. Here, the famous paramuricee thrive, creating a dense and captivating environment that extends up to 30 meters from the edge. Amongst the vibrant gorgonians, you may catch sight of dogfish eggs, astrospartus, octopuses, nudibranchs, and an abundance of other fascinating marine species. Due to the distance from the coast, occasional strong currents, and potential fluctuations in visibility, we highly recommend practicing the buddy system and equipping yourself with a dependable surface marker buoy (SMB) complete with a spool, ensuring your safety and peace of mind throughout the dive.

Prepare to embark on an extraordinary underwater journey at this captivating dive site off the Italian coast. With visibility reaching up to 8 meters and a maximum depth of 32 meters, advanced and expert divers will be thrilled by the exhilarating exploration opportunities that await them.
