La Galera
The cove features crystal clear waters and very clear sand, creating a serene and picturesque underwater environment. The cove is characterized by its unique rock formation in the middle, which resembles a submerged duck's head. As divers enter from the coast, they will encounter rocks and boulders, transitioning into a large sandy area with extensive patches of Posidonia seagrass. Beyond the sandy area, divers will navigate through the lush Posidonia meadows, encountering a diverse range of marine life.
Divers can expect to encounter fascinating creatures such as cuttlefish, octopus, bream, two banded beams, ornate wrasse, rainbow wrasse, large banks of damselfish, and seabream. In the spring, the cove becomes a breeding ground for mules (pipe fish), which expertly camouflage themselves among the leaves of dried Posidonia.
