Kornhaus Rorschach, Bodensee
While diving along the harbor wall, you can often encounter impressive pike and catfish, as well as the usual flora and fauna of the region. The small parking lot at street no. 7 and 13, located in the center of Rorschach, is subject to charges. Please avoid using the yellow marked parking spaces in front of the UBS bank branch. At the end of the parking lot, you'll find a level crossing with three parking spaces nearby and three more to the right. Please refrain from using the parking spaces reserved for taxis.
To access the dive site, cross the railway line from the parking lot and turn left in front of the Kornhaus. There you'll find a narrow gate leading to the harbor wall. Depending on your equipment and body size, you may need to remove your scuba gear to fit through. Follow the harbor wall for approximately 50 meters until you reach a staircase on the left, which will lead you into the water.
In the underwater park, the line connecting the various objects can be found at a depth of about 11 meters. Along this line, you'll discover several smaller wrecks, a slightly larger sunken sailboat, a crane element, a car, a tube, and a trough. Just follow the turns and explore to your heart's content. The deepest wreck lies at approximately 17 meters.
The harbor wall is teeming with fish, including some larger specimens found in Lake Constance. However, it's important to avoid diving too far to the east, as you may come across the harbor entrance frequented by large commercial ships. Exercise caution due to ship traffic throughout the dive site.
