El Seno

This dive site is located in the mouth of the port of Pasajes, offering divers the opportunity to explore a shelter formed by multiple slabs. These slabs are extensions of the surrounding mountain and gradually fade into the entrance channel of the port. As you descend into the underwater landscape, you'll be greeted by a wide variety of archaeological remains, adding a sense of history to your dive.

The marine life in this area is abundant and diverse. Divers can expect to encounter fascinating creatures such as lobsters, spider crabs, conger eels, San Pedro fish, octopus, cuttlefish, baby squid, scrapie, nudibranchs, and planarians. The captivating underwater scenery mirrors the above-water mountain, with slabs arranged in a west-east orientation. These slabs extend to a sandy area at a depth of approximately 25 meters, adjacent to the entrance channel.

Exploring this site offers limitless possibilities, thanks to its immense variety of underwater formations and artifacts. In addition to the archaeological remains, which include anchors from the 16th to 18th centuries, canyons, and ceramic fragments, divers can find sanctuary in the crevices and rocky gaps that harbor conger eels, lobsters, spider crabs, octopus, nudibranchs, and planarians. Beautiful gorgonians add a touch of elegance to the landscape, and if you're lucky, you may even catch a glimpse of the elusive San Pedro fish.

With a visibility of approximately 5 meters and a maximum depth of 21 meters, this dive site is suitable for divers of various skill levels.
