Ebisu Hama

Located along Route 42 in Japan, the beach point offers a delightful diving experience. As you approach the point, be cautious of the slope to avoid any mishaps, especially if you're carrying equipment on your back. Keep a vigilant eye on the tides, preferring high tide for diving as low tide can reveal numerous large rocks and stones at the entry point. Along with the absence of strong currents, the shallow and easily navigable waters make diving hassle-free. Admire the captivating clusters of coral growth while maintaining neutral buoyancy during your exploration.

When scuba diving at a depth of approximately 5m, you'll encounter schools of mullet and whitebait, providing a fascinating sight. If luck is on your side, you may even spot a frogfish amidst the vibrant marine life. Additionally, keep your eyes peeled for the well-camouflaged Kaikamuri crab. This beach serves as an ideal spot for both open water courses and specialty dives, with its resilience against wind and minimal challenges. The opportunity for night diving adds to its appeal, and be sure not to miss the mesmerizing coral spawning during the summer season.

Visibility extends up to 6m, making it easier to explore this captivating underwater world. With a maximum depth of 6m, even beginners with limited diving experience can enjoy the wonders this dive site has to offer. Situated near the Kushimoto Diving School Dive Station, this beach is conveniently accessible from National Highway Route 42 in Kushimoto, Higashimuro County, Wakayama Prefecture, Japan.
