Aida (Wreck)

Located 8 km from the coast and the center, the wreck known as "Alga" offers a thrilling dive experience for advanced divers. This Italian military cargo ship, officially named Alga, met its fate on October 9, 1942, when it was torpedoed by the British submarine "Unbeding" off the coast of Djerba in Tunisia. Now resting at a maximum depth of 20m, this wreck is home to a variety of marine life.

Divers exploring the Alga wreck will be treated to an underwater spectacle. The diverse marine ecosystem includes Groupers, Stingrays, Dentex, Corbels, Flutefish, Octopus, Parrotfish, and Nudibranchs. As you explore the wreck, keep an eye out for three small military tanks, located approximately 70m from the stern. These tanks were thrown overboard during the attack as an attempt to prevent the ship from sinking.

With a visibility of 8m, divers will have ample opportunity to appreciate the fascinating marine life and remarkable features of the wreck. The maximum depth of the dive reaches 19m, making it suitable for advanced divers who are comfortable exploring at greater depths.
