Vertigo

Vertigo, one of the best shark dives in the world, is located in the Philippine Sea off the West coast of the island south of M’il Channel. It is home to a school of grey and black tip reef sharks, offering divers a truly special experience. With clear blue water year-round, divers have the opportunity to interact with these magnificent creatures.

To enhance your photography experience, we recommend using a wide-angle lens between 17-40mm. Our dive plan involves a static dive with an incoming tide, utilizing a small bait cage and allowing for a generous 90-minute bottom time. The diving conditions range from depths of 10m/33ft to 20m/66ft, offering a stunning visibility of 29m. The vertical reef wall presents a breathtaking view, and you can expect gentle to no current.

In terms of wildlife, Vertigo showcases not only the grey and black tip reef sharks but also Napoleon wrasse, Moray eels, reef fish, grouper, and snapper. However, please note that high surge and visibility less than 60’ can make certain areas off-limits.

Vertigo is an ideal dive site for divers of all levels, including beginners and advanced divers. With its location in the Federated States of Micronesia, close to Weeloey, Yap, 96943, it promises a memorable diving experience.
