The Triangle

Located in the pristine waters of New Zealand's Southland region, this dive site offers a captivating mix of rocky shoreline, sandy patches, and dramatic steep walls for divers to explore. With a maximum depth of 17 meters and visibility reaching up to 10 meters, this site promises an immersive underwater experience.

Dive enthusiasts will be delighted to discover the presence of one of the largest black coral trees in the Fiord, adorned with fascinating carpet shark eggs at a depth of approximately 18 meters. The surrounding environment is characterized by a dense freshwater layer on the surface, creating darker conditions perfect for diving.

Underwater, divers can encounter the enchanting spiny seadragons, as well as have a high chance of spotting seven gill and dogsharks. The site is also home to a vibrant population of variable and wellington nudibranchs, adding to its biodiversity. Additionally, divers will be mesmerized by the abundance of tube anemones that grace the underwater landscape.
