Tauchbasis Löbejün
Unfortunately, the Dive Site is currently inaccessible due to road closures imposed by the local mining company. They have blocked the roads and posted signs prohibiting entry. However, when this site was accessible, it offered divers the opportunity to explore a variety of marine life and remnants from the mining era such as sturgeons, perches, crabs, and fascinating relics. The site features three boilers surrounded by partitions, which add to the unique underwater landscape. This dive site is a former quarry that housed mining equipment below the surface.
Located in Germany, specifically in Gottgau, Wettin-Löbejün, Saalekreis, Saxony-Anhalt, 06388, this dive site had a maximum depth of 14 meters and boasted a visibility of approximately 10 meters. It catered to divers of all levels, including beginners, advanced divers, and experts. Although it is currently inaccessible, the site's historical significance and diverse marine life make it a noteworthy destination for diving enthusiasts.
