Tajiri

Tajiri is a popular dive site located at the eastern end of Tottori Prefecture in Japan. Facing the beautiful Sea of Japan, this site offers divers a unique and complex topography. It has been recognized as a nature park and registered as a "geopark" on the San-in Coast. Divers are drawn to the diverse underwater terrain that features waterways, horizontal holes, and captivating caves partially submerged in the water. One of the highlights of diving in Tajiri is encountering the pink clownfish, which stands out with its vibrant reddish color and distinctive juvenile pattern resembling a clownfish design. These fascinating creatures, also known as "Nimodango," have become a favorite subject among divers.

Himetatsu, another popular dive spot, offers a remarkable experience of witnessing late-night courtship and childbirth. Here, male fish engage in powerful fights by opening their large mouths to intimidate each other. Divers can also observe a variety of fascinating marine life, including the cloaked octopus, sakura dango fish, sakura fish, and migrating yellowtail.
