Silver Steps

Silver Steps is a popular shore dive in the United Kingdom, located at Castle Drive, Falmouth, Cornwall, South West England. This expansive rocky reef features gullies and sandy patches, creating a picturesque underwater landscape. With a maximum depth of 7m and visibility of 6m, it is an ideal dive site for beginners.

Diving at Silver Steps is best during high tide, as you can explore depths of up to 11m. One of the highlights of this dive is the opportunity to discover the remains of five German WW1 U-Boats, including UB86 and UB112, which have been heavily salvaged over the years.

During the summer months, the dive site is covered in kelp, providing a vibrant habitat for various marine species. You will encounter colorful wrasse, pollock, pipefish, as well as crabs and lobsters hidden within the rocky crevices.
