Pedra do Ginja
The dive site formerly known as "Pedra do J" has been renamed "GINJA" in honor of a friendly and curious resident dusky grouper. This fish is known to approach divers, swimming alongside them throughout the dive. Divers often have the opportunity to encounter a large ray nestled among the sandy areas and boulders at the start of the dive. However, these sand eels quickly retreat as soon as they catch sight of approaching divers. The dive site showcases a captivating assortment of basalt columns, rocks, and boulders, surrounded by white sands. The entry point is located at a depth of approximately 17m, with a maximum depth of 21m. Due to its accessibility and captivating features, GINJA is frequently chosen for double dives as a second dive option after wrecks or deep dives. It is not uncommon to spot two-banded sea bream and zebra bream, along with the stunning rock formations. On occasion, divers may also catch a glimpse of a moray eel or lobster peeking out from their hiding spots. With excellent visibility of 20m, GINJA is suitable for beginner and advanced divers alike. This captivating dive site is situated in Portugal, specifically in Ponta da Galé, Vila Baleira, Porto Santo, Madeira, 9400-005.
