Oro Verde (Wreck)

Originally a U.S. Army transport ship, the Oro Verde spent its final decade shuttling bananas between Ecuador and Miami. In 1976, it met its fate on the vibrant reef encircling Grand Cayman, just off Seven Mile Beach.

Within the confines of the wreck, an array of captivating marine life thrives. Nurse and reef sharks roam the vicinity, alongside the possibility of encountering majestic eagle rays, graceful turtles, and an abundance of fish species including snapper, angelfish, grunts, anemones, and grouper.
