Naufragio Itapagé
The Itapagé ship, while escorting the Rio de Janeiro ship, was struck by two torpedoes from the German submarine U-161. This underwater wreck is located on the starboard side and still displays distinguishable pieces. A major highlight is the passage between the ship's two immense engines.
Being an artificial reef, the Itapagé wreck attracts a remarkable assortment of marine life, including abundant fish, graceful rays, and the occasional sighting of turtles. Divers may even spot some sharks in the vicinity.
