Man O War Shoal
Located just east of Diamond Rock, this dive site boasts a steep rock structure that extends into the sandy bottom at a depth of 70 feet. With twin peaks rising 15-20 feet from the surface, divers can embark on a captivating multi-level dive experience. By circumnavigating the base and gradually spiraling upwards between the two peaks in a figure eight pattern, divers can make the most of their exploration.
One of the highlights of this dive site is the incredible diversity of marine life it offers. Within the Saba Marine Park, divers can encounter a wide range of species, including Black Coral and abundant Sergeant Majors. The industrious Sand Tile Fish can also be observed here, adding to the vibrant underwater ecosystem.
To ensure a safe and fulfilling diving experience, it is recommended to include a safety stop at the top of the dive. This not only maximizes dive time but also provides an opportunity to marvel at the underwater spectacle unfolding below.
Man O’ War Shoals is particularly noteworthy for its unique sightings. It is the only place within the area where divers can spot Atlantic Spadefish, a pelagic species rarely seen on reefs. Additionally, the Banded Jawfish, an uncommon sight, can also be observed here.
