Lomeček
At the southeastern and deeper end of the quarry, divers can marvel at the abundance of aquatic life. Schools of carp and bream gracefully navigate through the waters, accompanied by sturgeon, catfish, pike, pikeperch, perch, crayfish, and mussels.
Access to the quarry is convenient via a floating platform, and there is also a small training platform available on the ground. Divers can take advantage of the comfortable changing room located under the covered terrace, measuring 10x16 meters. During the winter months, the heated clubhouse offers a cozy retreat and refreshments.
To reach this diving site, the preferred route is from Domažlice. Past the bus station, head towards Mrákov, then turn left towards Starý Klíčov. Before reaching Nový Klíčov, turn left onto Štítovky and continue onto the dirt road. Along the way, there are clear signs indicating the way to the swimming pool Lomeček.
Enhancing the surroundings, the quarry is adorned with numerous monumental wooden sculptures, creating a picturesque and park-like atmosphere. Prior to visiting, it is advisable to contact the manager, Zdeněk Zrůst, at +420-608 828 007. Please note that there is an entrance fee.
