LIMA ROCK (Island) - South is located at N 25°56’32.1“ E 56°27’59.2“. This small rocky island is found just under 1 km away from Ras Lima in the Musandam Governorate of Oman. It is recommended for divers with advanced to expert skills due to the challenging currents. Additionally, the dive site offers various marine life sightings and an opportunity to use Scooters (DPV). The maximum depth for this dive is 24 meters.
For Technical Diving, there is a separate and untouched part of the reef with large boulders and beautiful swim troughs, accessible at depths between 35m and 45m. However, be cautious while conducting decompression dives in the South of Lima Rock, as the currents can be unpredictable and similar to a washing machine. It's essential to be aware of the presence of local speedboats in this busy area. Always use a Surface Marker Buoy (SMB) and stay close to the wall for increased safety.
