Prepare to be captivated by the diversity and beauty of our underwater ecosystem. From a vast coral colony to an array of fascinating sea creatures, including surgeonfish, trumpetfish, sea urchins, starfish, crabs, lobsters, lemon fish, butterflyfish, and various puffer- and boxfish. On lucky occasions, you might even encounter eagle rays and turtles gracefully gliding through the water.
Known as "La Marina" or the "Zoo Beach," this dive site holds a special charm due to its history. Several years ago, it used to be a zoo. Located on Roqueta Island, it is in close proximity to the renowned Hawaii dive site and the rocky island of "Yerbabuena."
While it is perfect for beginners and divers with little experience, there are also sections specifically designed to challenge and thrill expert divers. However, it's important to note that due to the site's geographical location, it is exposed to certain climatic and tidal conditions. We recommend diving only when these conditions allow for a safe and enjoyable experience.
One of the standout features of our site is the presence of a large coral colony, making it one of the few in Acapulco. This thriving ecosystem attracts a wide variety of fish species, such as surgeon fish, trumpet and needle fish, sea urchins, starfish, angels, lemon fish, and occasionally even seahorses. Additionally, the site offers a rich assortment of puffer and box fish. Prepare to be fascinated by the vibrant world of blennies, anemones, sponges, soft corals, nudibranchs, and the master of disguise, the octopus, and stone or scorpion fish.
If you visit during the spring, you may be fortunate enough to witness the graceful movements of rays, guitar fish, electric rays, and, if luck is on your side, majestic eagle rays and turtles.
Our dive site is conveniently located near Punta del Guano, Acapulco, Acapulco de Juárez, Guerrero, 39300, Mexico.
