Gato Island is a renowned marine reserve and sea snake sanctuary, offering an unforgettable diving experience. Among its five notable dive sites, one stands out as a must-visit for more skilled divers. This particular site takes you on an exhilarating tour underneath the island through a captivating tunnel.

Prepare to be amazed by the diverse marine life you'll encounter along the way, including whitetip sharks, nudibranchs, seahorses, pipefish, scorpionfish, sea snakes, pufferfish, and schools of big-mouth mackerel. The abundance of thrilling sights will make every moment worthwhile.

For your convenience, the journey begins from the northeast and concludes on the west side of Gato Island. As you venture into the 30-meter tunnel, you'll be greeted by a host of cave dwellers and even have the chance to encounter majestic Whitetip sharks. However, please note that the overhangs and swim-throughs in this site may pose a moderate challenge, requiring some previous diving experience.
