Galeao Sao Paulo

The Old Galleon, dating back to the early 17th century, rests at the Cabo de Santo Agostinho in a depth of 19 meters. Although the wooden hull of the ship is long gone, divers can still discover cannons, anchors, vibrant corals, and a plethora of aquatic life. This site was mistakenly explored by pirates who believed it to be the renowned Santa Rosa Galleon.

Like other wrecks in Recife, the Old Galleon offers an opportunity to encounter various schools of fish, nurse sharks, and an array of marine species. With a visibility of 13 meters, divers with advanced or expert skill levels can fully immerse themselves in this captivating underwater experience.

Located in the northeastern region of Brazil, specifically in Pernambuco, this dive site is a must-visit for diving enthusiasts seeking to explore the rich maritime history of the area.
