To ensure the preservation of the underwater ecosystem, there is a diving ban in place from October 15th to May 31st each year. However, you can still experience the wonder of diving during the permitted months by obtaining the necessary permission. Booking your dive through the GST (General Diving Services) is quick and easy.
Once underwater, you'll be captivated by the beauty of the landscape and the diverse marine life that calls the Binsfeld Lakes home. Prepare to encounter an array of fish species, including pike ale, perch, catfish, sturgeon, carp, and tench.
When planning your dive, please note that both Kuhuntersee and Gänsedrecksee have a maximum diver limit of 20 per day. It's important to register your dive with the "Gemeinschaft Speyerer Tauchvereine" (Association of Speyer Diving Clubs) well in advance of your visit. This association manages the allocation of permits, so make sure to contact them for further information regarding registration, permit procedures, available spots, and dates. Remember, diving is only permitted in Kuhuntersee and Gänsedrecksee with prior registration through GST.
