Early Hole

Widely referred to as Wagon Wheel, this dive site is conveniently accessible. Divers can park their vehicles on the gravel pullout located just off Highway 197, approximately 10 miles east of Crescent City. It is important to note that there is a current present at this river location; however, it usually remains mild during the summer months. As divers venture upstream and onto the opposite side from the entry point, they will discover a small freshwater mussel bed situated at the base of a wall.
With a maximum depth of 12m and visibility reaching up to 7m, this dive site is suitable for divers of all levels, including beginners. Located in the United States, specifically in Del Norte County, California, this site offers a convenient and captivating underwater experience for diving enthusiasts.
