Cohen’s Corner
Located on the east side of the lake in South Africa, this dive site offers divers a thrilling underwater experience. With its steep drop-off, abundant marine life, and captivating scenery, it is considered one of the most picturesque dives in the area.
Divers exploring this site will have the opportunity to encounter various species of fish, including small mouth yellows, big mouth yellows, barbel, carp, and occasionally bass and trout. The diverse aquatic ecosystem provides a fascinating underwater spectacle for experienced divers.
Beneath the cliffs, a silty slope descends at a steep angle, reaching depths of up to 30 meters and beyond near the shore. This makes it an ideal location for advanced divers to embark on deep dives. After exploring the depths, divers can ascend the slope and enjoy a more leisurely shallow dive.
With a visibility of 8 meters and a maximum depth of 18 meters, this dive site offers a unique and immersive experience for those seeking adventure beneath the surface. Its close proximity to Maluti-a-Phofung Ward 6, Maluti-a-Phofung Local Municipality, and Thabo Mofutsanyana District Municipality provides easy access for divers looking to explore the wonders of the underwater world in the Free State region of South Africa.
