Despite this, the site still retains its name and provides divers with an enriching underwater experience. Featuring a sandy bottom, the inner segment of the site offers a more sheltered environment where divers can marvel at the diverse marine life that inhabits the strait's walls.

Divers exploring this location can expect to encounter typical Caribbean fish species, but caution must be exercised to avoid contact with scorpionfish and sea urchins, which inhabit the area.
