The wreck at this dive site is an old wooden barge that, in the 1960s, served as an illicit establishment for gambling and prostitution, earning it the nickname "the brothel." Over time, the barge underwent renovations, including the replacement of some of its planks with masonite. Unfortunately, this alteration proved to be the barge's downfall, leading to its sinking and eventual resting place at the bottom of Riddarfjärden. Despite its fate, the wreck remains remarkably well-preserved, boasting its original cargo space, unique gadgets, and beautifully painted decorations. As you explore the site, you'll also stumble upon a couple of car wrecks nearby.
For a truly memorable experience, be sure to look down into the forepeak of the wreck. Here, you'll be amazed to find a sauna, intricately decorated and practically intact, complete with functioning equipment and lichens. It's an extraordinary sight that adds even more intrigue to this exceptional dive site.
