Blue Hole, Dahab
The famous Blue Hole dive site is located 12km North of Dahab in Egypt's South Sinai region. This large submarine sinkhole is 150m across and 110m deep, offering an incredible diving experience. The dive starts at El Bells, where you can enter the water through a crack in the reef plate. As you descend, you'll be amazed by the beautiful sunlight illuminating the open chimney and an arch swim-through at 26m. On the other side of the arch, you'll find a stunning hard and soft coral reef wall adorned with impressive plate coral formations. Along your route, keep an eye out for large barracuda and well-established anemones. Completing your dive by swimming across the mesmerizing depths of the Blue Hole, with free divers disappearing and reappearing, is a perfect way to experience this site.
During your dive, be on the lookout for a variety of marine life, including turtles, moray eels, red sea anemonefish, scorpionfish, stonefish, great barracuda at the cleaning stations, and jackfish off the reef wall. With excellent visibility of 24m and a maximum depth of 28m, this dive site is recommended for advanced and expert divers.
