Barragem do Paranoa
This dive site, located on the coast of Brazil, offers a unique entry point into the water. As you descend, you'll encounter thermoclines, with temperatures ranging from 26°C at 9 meters to 21°C at 18 meters. While the visibility may vary between 2 and 5 meters, it provides divers with an opportunity to observe the diverse aquatic life that inhabits the area.
During night dives, you'll have the chance to spot small animals such as carp, tucunaré, and cará. With improved visibility, there is also a possibility of encountering larger fish. This dive site is not only ideal for recreational dives but also serves as an excellent training ground. The low visibility challenges divers to master their buoyancy and navigation techniques.
If you're looking for an added adventure, explore the ruins of the old Amauri village. Here, you'll discover remnants of an old dam, engine house, and light poles, offering a glimpse into the region's history before it was submerged. Whether you're a beginner, advanced, or expert diver, this site caters to divers at all skill levels.
