Baixa do Boi

Located near Janela in the northern part of the island, this small islet offers a secluded diving experience. Our dive begins in the protected western point of the islet, with the rocky terrain on our left. We follow this path until we reach the end of the islet, which is approximately 40 meters away. Along the way, divers can expect to encounter a diverse array of marine life, with the added excitement of keeping an eye out for sightings in the open blue waters.

The underwater ecosystem here is teeming with various species, including doctorfish, amberjacks, damselfish, tunas, scorpionfish, glasseye, parrotfish, Cape Verdeean Morro, lobsters, trumpetfish, pufferfish, and occasional appearances of oceanic sharks.

With a visibility of 11 meters and a maximum depth of 38 meters, this dive site is recommended for advanced and expert divers. The islet is situated in Cape Verde, a country known for its incredible diving opportunities. Nearby attractions for divers include Farol de Fontes Pereira de Melo, Tunel do Farol, Paul, all within close proximity.
