The dive site known as the "Amphitheatre" is situated within the underwater park of Madeira, Portugal. It offers varying depths ranging from 10 to 24 meters. Divers can expect excellent visibility of around 16 meters throughout their exploration. This captivating location is home to an array of marine life, including schools of bream, trumpet fish, macaronesian groupers, barracudas, jack fishes, slipper lobsters, and reef lobsters.

For those who venture approximately ten minutes west from the entrance, they will discover another remarkable highlight: the dive site called Arena. This particular spot showcases an awe-inspiring underwater scenery reminiscent of an ancient amphitheater. Divers can immerse themselves in this wondrous site at a depth of approximately ten meters, passing through a ten-meter tunnel before descending to the rock formation known as Pico, emerging from the black sand. Here, a school of macronesian groupers eagerly awaits. The sand surrounding the area sways with the motion of countless sand eels, exhibiting their distinctive behavior. The maximum depth at this location does not exceed 28 meters, providing divers with the advantage of a longer no-stop time. As divers ascend, they will be accompanied by "Zackis," although they may become less visible due to the presence of a massive school of bream obstructing the view. This enchanting dive offers a sense of being a gladiator within the grand arena of the amphitheater. Explorations may reveal the presence of a large spider crab, as well as the sight of mullets foraging in small groups amidst the dark lava sand.
