Alex Van Opstel (Wreck)
This wreck, a Belgian passenger liner, sank due to a mine on September 15, 1939, at a depth of approximately 27m. Diving during slack tide is essential for safety due to strong currents in the area. The stern section has broken off and now rests about 100m away from the main wreck.
Divers exploring under the girders of the wreck will encounter conger eels, crabs, lobsters, and various schools of fish. The site's bottom is composed of sand and gravel, but visibility may be affected by the powerful currents. It is important to be prepared for occasional darkness during the dive.
With a maximum depth of 28m and visibility reaching 8m, this dive site is highly recommended for advanced divers. Located in England, United Kingdom, this site provides a distinctive underwater experience for diving enthusiasts.
